  I have a question about an item

All items for sale were initially pawned at PawnHero and were not redeemed by the client upon expiry of the loan. PawnHero only lists items for sale after every effort has been made to allow the customer to redeem or renew their loan and after the legal grace period has ended. 

All items are pre-owned, authentic and carefully tested! Our appraisers have authenticated and graded every item that comes through our doors. Items are fully functional and tested at the time of posting for sale. Details of each item are listed in its product description, and the condition of each pre-owned item is specified according to our precise standards. Images shown on the website are those of the actual items.

  What is an Availability Alert?

Some items are not yet available for sale since the original pawner has not yet defaulted on the loan. The availability alert allows customers to sign up for an email notification when that specific item becomes available for purchase. There is no obligation or payment needed to adding your name to the availability alert. This simply allows you to be first in line to purchase an item right when it becomes available. But hurry, orders are processed on a “first come, first served” basis.

How long is my name on the Availability Alert?
Until the item becomes available for sale or is removed from the Marketplace entirely. This usually happens within 30 days or less.   

Can I remove my email from the Availability Alert?
At this point, you cannot be removed from the availability alert. However, the availability alert is absolutely NOT an obligation to buy the item. If you no longer want an item, simply ignore the notification.

We have experts that specialize in product categories that are able to test and inspect the details of the item to make sure it is genuine. For example, a handbag, our experts inspect the style and model, quality of stitching and materials, expected dimensions of any logos and patterns, and serial numbers and date coding.

MarketPlace guarantees that all branded items sold through shall be 100% authentic. All branded items are authenticated by PawnHero’s trained appraisers utilizing the latest technology and their years of appraisal experience during the pawn loan process.

Item details at disclose whether an item for sale comes with original receipts, certificates of authenticity, and other authentication documents. In addition to the detailed inspection and research that goes into the authentication of every item we sell through, we offer a 100% money back authenticity guarantee so you can shop at without having to worry about the authenticity of the items.

If you believe that the item you purchased is not authentic, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of the item to arrange for a full refund upon the return of the item. The item must be returned in the same condition it was received.

In order to assess your claim that a purchased item is not authentic, we require a written opinion from a reputable 3rd party expert in order to receive a full refund. The 3rd party expert must provide a written opinion assessing the item and providing evidence why, in their expert opinion, they believe the item is not authentic. The opinion should include a description of the item (with serial number and all applicable information necessary for authentication) and should be on letterhead paper that includes the name, signature, address and phone number of that individual, business or organization providing the 3rd party opinion.

PawnHero shall review the opinion provided by the 3rd party expert and evaluate the evidence provided in the opinion and shall base upon its sole discretion and judgement to decide in good faith whether the disputed item is or is not authentic. PawnHero shall contact the buyer of the item within 30 days of the receipt of the 3rd party opinion to communicate its final non-appealable decision regarding the authenticity of the item and the approval of the refund. Such refund, if approved, shall be provided to the buyer within 60 days after PawnHero receives both the returned item and the 3rd party opinion letter. PawnHero shall not be responsible for any costs incurred during the dispute process including the shipping fees to return the item to PawnHero and the costs of procuring the 3rd party opinion letter.

Changes to the Authenticity Policy

PawnHero shall regularly review this Authenticity Policy. We reserve the right to modify and change the Authenticity Policy at any time. Any changes to this policy will be published at and or

  What if I did not like the item, can I return it?

All items for sale through are used items which were initially pawned to PawnHero and were not redeemed by the pawner prior to the expiration of the pawn loan period and the legally required notice period.

Please review the item pictures, item description, and item condition before purchasing an item. The sale of item(s) is on an as-is basis and provided without any warranty by PawnHero and is not eligible for return or refund.

The only exception to this Return Policy shall be for items which are not authentic. Please see our 100% Authentic Guarantee Policy.

Tip: In the case of an item delivered via MarketPlace courier, customers have 15 minutes to inspect the item while the courier waits on-site. Please take this opportunity to inspect the item and make sure it fits and matches your expectations of the product and if you want to continue with the purchase. However, the item must not be tampered in any case during the inspection.


Some items may still be covered under the original manufacturer's warranty. If an item comes with a warranty card, original receipt, or other documentation to prove warranty coverage, this information will be disclosed in the item description. We do not provide any additional warranty coverage for items sold on the MarketPlace.
